Tera Review

I've been very inactive on here eh but don't worry; I've had my hands full. I've been playing a mmorpg called Tera! Originally a South Korean game, it was released in North America by En Masse Entertainment. The game features 7 races and 8 classes with each having different stats and abilities/skills. To be quite honest I really love this game and I'm addicted to it. My avatar 'Lars.Alexanderson' is a high elf mystic. Mystics are mostly buff/debuff masters, can heal and also summon minions to assist them. I'm quite happy I chose a mystic because it's a pretty easy class to play, however, it also has it's downfalls such as dealing small damage.

The game also has a story and like other mmos, they are in the form of quests; the main quests and side quests which are often short. There are normal monsters, BAMs or Big Ass Monsters (which are bosses type of monsters that are mostly available through side quests and usually require a party of players to defeat. However, as you level up, you can solo them). Dungeons are known as instances and house powerful bosses and cannot be done alone. A trial of the game can be downloaded and the full game can be bought but starting February 5th, the game is free to play.

I rate this game a 10 out of 10 because I've always wanted to play a mmo and Tera satisfies all of my desires~

Persona 4 Golden Update

I finished my first save file today and let me just say this, the ending really messes you up (I am so upset right now). But overall, it was a really good game and I really liked it. Near the end of the game, you really get the feeling that everything is about to end and it's just sad then at the end it's like they're kicking feels right into your face. There are actually 5 endings to this game: Bad ending 1,2 and 3, then a good ending and the true ending. I did the good ending in my first playthrough and i'm definitely gonna do the true one in this save file. I didn't accomplish a lot in this save file but its kind of a setup for the New Game +. Basically, I get to carry on my stats (courage, knowledge etc. not battle stats), persona's and skill cards I've unlocked, some key items and other stuffs too. Carrying on my stats means I can stop spending time on increasing them, which leaves me with ample time to work on maxing out social links. This time I'll try to post progress updates more frequently OTL and my how I'm dealing with the Very Hard mode (haha...)

Pokémon X and Y

X & Y logos
Pokémon announced two new games today called Pokémon X and Pokémon Y! When I first saw the announcement at 6 in the morning, I jumped off my bed and I was wide awake soon after. I was so excited that they announced a new game. I'd rather see new contents then make a remake! The gameplay is just so amazing, I'm in love with it. Every single thing in the trailer looks awesome for a beta trailer; the battles, the roaming areas, the moves and obviously the pokémon!!

Gen VI Starters
The starters are Chespin, a grass mole, Fennekin, a fox and Froakie, a frog! I love them all but Fennekin caught my eye when I first saw them. Chespin reminds me of Oshawott but I love it too. Froakie grew on me slowly and I really like it now!! The mascot for the games are a deer with horns with X's in it's eyes and it's horns are kinda like the top half of the X letter and the other one is a bird in the form of a Y with claws at each ends.
Pretty cool looking tbh.The game seems to have forests, cities and deserts as combacks. There is a tower that looks like an eiffel tower which I assume is a reference to the Tokyo tower. Also I think the main character can be customized to the player's will (not sure about this) and it appears that roller skates are a new addition or an upgraded form for the running shoes. It's a full 3D game and the battles are very interactive. The moves are fluid and the animations are really nice.
Also the game was announced worldwide and it's also being released worldwide in October so I'm all psyched up to get it earlier compared to the previous titles!
I am definitely buying this game when it comes out!!

Persona 4 Golden Progress #2

Izanagi
This is kind of a huge recap from Kanji's dungeon to Naoto's dungeon. So that's about 4 dungeons and a thousand social links in-between OTL. But I'll quickly run through it and hopefully get back on track soon! First off, Izanagi turned out to be helpful compared to my last save file (where i gave up on him very early in the game) and with the help of skill cards/skill level up/persona level up, I was able to build a fairly strong one. However, like Titania, he lacks techniques that pinpoints only one target. I didn't really use Undine a lot but I really liked her since she absorbed ice thus a good asset. Also, most monsters had a weakness to ice and I was able to back Chie up since she was the only ice user and had very low sp compared to the rest of my team. Kikuri-Hime was mostly used to defeat those hands that give tons of exp. A deadly combination of mind charge and megido did the trick. To be honest, Kikuri-Hime was quite a disappointment this time and it was partly my fault because she had a weak build. I didn't use her much in battle, other than defeating the hands, and fused her shortly after I got her.

Now on to boss fights!! Kanji's boss was a bit long because of his two 'assistants'. But with Chie, Yukiko and Titania, I took them out after a couple of rounds. After, only Shadow Kanji was left and I took it out with less effort compared to the other two shadows. Then I got Kanji as a playable character but I didn't try him out yet!
Rise's and Teddie's shadow weren't a pain to deal with instead, Shadow Teddie's boss fight was pretty straightforward. I got a critical hit on Shadow Rise and she literally fell off the pole which was really funny. After Rise's fight she joins you and act as a support character and after Teddie's fight, he also joins you. I was kinda disappointed when I learned that Rise was not a playable character, even though it was obvious, but she is really helpful as a support character, learning really good techniques when maxing out her social links.
Mitsuo's boss fight was very annoying. He kept setting up a barrier with its own hp bar and skill but after decreasing it's defense and powering up my team, it was less painful haha.
Naoto's boss fight was a normal boss fight. Yosuke died then it kept removing my buffs and debuffing my team but it was fun and lasted long (Compared to other boss fights, I enjoyed this one the most)

As for social links, I will briefly summarized my progress in the next progress update, which I'll probably post tomorrow.

I haven't posted a progress update in p4g for a while and at the same time, I'm already far ahead from where I last left off so I'll probably post a brief recap!
