Luminous Arc 3 Review

Official box art
Lately I've been killing time by re-playing Luminous Arc 3: Eyes. It's a turned based rpg game published by Atlus, Marvelous Interactive Inc. and Rising Star Games. It's the 3rd and currently last one in the Luminous Arc series. Unfortunately it's only available in Japanese, but since I already played the game before and tested stuffs out, I have a basic understanding of what to do and what the plot is about. There are magic users called 'Magi' and each one of them are different elemental masters. The game has about 10 playable characters but as the storyline progresses, more join your side. However, you can only choose a maximum of 6 characters when going on the battlefield.

Inaluna the light magi
I just started my save file yesterday and today, a light-user magi (right) and the second spellcaster joined my team (ahem she's also my favorite character). This game requires a bit of patience since you have to go train on your own before following the storyline. The bosses can be quite powerful so mining for money, items, weapons and exp is necessary. The recent boss kicked my ass twice before I eventually beat him with an over-levelled team. As other turned based rpg, the characters are all unique in one aspect and it's up to you to make the best team possible to defeat the game.
To be honest, the soundtracks, the voice actors and the little subtle animations are what makes me feel like going when playing the game. The storyline is also quite lengthy with a tough dungeon at the end, believe me on this one!! Overall, this game is definitely worth a look at and I give it a 7 out of 10.

DmC: Devil May Cry Review

Yesterday I tried out the demo of DmC:Devil May Cry for PS3, developed by Ninja Theory and published by CAPCOM. I've never played any of the Devil May Cry series before so obviously I wasn't used to the characters or the mechanics. The game seems to involve angels and devils and other supernatural monsters etc. I fell in love with the game my first minute into it.

Dante's Scythe
Hack and slash games are one of my favorite genre and the moves of Dante, the main character, are so cool; He uses pistols and a sword that transforms into a scythe, a battle axe and a hook and they can be combined to create kick ass and fluid combos. The monsters were mostly rotten and zombie looking which adds to that creepy aspect. The boss during the boss battle was slimy and nasty and it grossed the hell outta me. I was unable to complete it since I was stuck at the last part but I'm definitely gonna try again.

Devil Trigger
Also Dante can enter a mode called Devil Trigger, where his appearance changes and everything around him slows down. He also gains several bonuses such as health recovery and deals more damage to enemies. However there's a limit as to the amount of time he can stay in it. In the end, I didn't find anything bad about the game other than the colors were a bit too vivid but it gave that unique sense to it compared to other games.

I give this game a solid 9 out of 10 and it's definitely going on my to-get list!

Persona 4 Golden Progress #1

Well I'm already into this save file so this will probably be my starting point. My team consists of Souji lv 26, Yosuke lv 26, Chie lv 26 and Yukiko lv 26. I'm pretty sure that I'll stick with this team till the end of the game and maybe use the other three in the new game+. So far, I only ventured in Kanji's dungeon and I'm mostly farming for exp, money and some persona's too. The shadows here are tough and it's hard ヽ(′Д、`*)ノ
My current personas are Izanagi and Titania, though I just fused Titania. I really like Titania and her Diarama skill helped me a lot here. The only downside to her are probably the Ma-skills since they target everyone on the field and sometimes the shadows varies and so do their weaknesses. Izanagi has high strengths stats but the lack of skills makes it hard to use. I think that I'll keep training until I'm around the low thirties.

That's it for now and next time I'll try covering some of my social links and maybe Kanji's boss fight.
